This painting is dedicated to my son, Cody, and all the Linemen who work to keep our power on through bad weather and other circumstances. They often pound their hammer into a pole and hang their gear on it while taking a break. This was so fascinating to me that I wanted to capture it in a painting.’

BEHIND VERTICAL 12 x 16 Pastel on velour. This painting was inspired by the old vaquero style of riding with spade bits. The face of the horse is brought to a position which is behind the vertical line. It is a training method still used in many styles of riding, both English and Western.
